D Company, 7th Marines: Korea - 1951/1952

Some photographs from my collection. I've identified other Marines where I've been able or where relevant to Dog Company. If you recognize yourself or anyone else, please let me know or notify George Crotts, the webmaster.

Parris Island, South Carolina - April 1951

My bootcamp platoon, Parris Island, SC. I'm fourth from the left, third row (from bottom or top). My good buddy, Jimmie Negri, is fourth from the left, 2nd row from the top. Stevie Melanic is 6th from the left in the 2nd row from the bottom. A guy from my current home town, Livingston, NJ, is in the top row, 2nd from the left.
Stevie lost a foot when he stepped on a mine. Jimmie was a cook in Seoul. I've been told that our Senior DI, Sgt. H.H. Tatz, later served with D Company as the company Gunny and 1st Sergeant.

D Company, 7th Marines - December 1951

"Henny", in our foxhole. We shared it with another buddy, Allen J. "Mev" Mevissen. It wasn't really large enough for two guys.
