into four groups; 100 VC are at the Village of Binh Lanh, BT 650945. Their Captain is gathering information on BINH SA, BINH GIANG, BINGH THUY
and BINH NGHIA to give to the Regimental Commander. Another group of approximately 200 VC are at BINH THANH AND BINH THANG. Another

Delta Co. "Layout" Ambush (SQD) Patrol, QUANG NGAI BT 625007, observed a VC approaching their position BS 625007. When the VC
got within 125 Meters of the Marines, the villagers rang a bell warning the VC of the Marines presence. The VC turned and ran; the patrol
fired wounding the VC who fell, dropping his weapon. Wounded VC escaped through the heavy brush to the Village. A search of the area
was conducted finding one M-1 Rifle and six clips of ammo. 10:30 Hrs.

A local source reported the VC are having a meeting with the people at TUYET DIAM, DONG LE and TAN HY HAMLETS to go to MU RU.
S-2 comment: MU RU could mean the Combat Outpost, to oppose the American activities. The VC would then take pictures for propaganda
purposes. Further states VC are planning an Operation against the Americans on 1 May (May Day). Source states the VC are planning to
attack BINH GIANG and BINH SA villages on 28 or 29 April 1966. (Eval: F-6). At 10:30 Hrs. The Villagers of TAN HY (1) stated VC encountered
by Delta Company; refer to ISUM #114 Paragraphs 3-1, died of his wounds. No further information as to the place or the time could be

to PHU LONG at night. States the VC are armed with Russian/French Rifles. The VCS gave the names of VC that had been killed by Artillery in

A source reported there is 200 North Vietnamese in Village of BINH PHIEN HAMLET of DUC AN VIC 490930. They are dressed in uniforms
same color as ARVN, boots color is yellow, and helmets. They have two 81MM Mortars, 2-50 cal. MG and 2-30 cal. MG. They anticipate
Marines having an operation at BINH PHIEN and are preparing by placing booby traps in the hills. In the Mountain of LUI CHUA HAMLET of
THANH TRA 526940, they have left 3 VC solely to observe. In that area, they have had one VC KIA and two VC WIA from six Americans.
The two VC WIA are staying at the home of NGUYEN MIEN in the Hamlet of BINH YEN 527927. The VC is trying to capture the six Americans.
At the Village of BINH HOANG, Vic 675892 two BN of VC have moved in two days ago. No further information available.

Delta Co. Search/Destroy PLT Patrol Province QUANG NGAI, coord BT 626007, received approximately 150 rounds SA and AW fire from an
estimated six VC Vic 626007. The Marines returned fire with 1,000 rounds of SA and AW fire, 81 Mortars, Artillery mission and assaulted
the position. One female VCS was apprehended near the position and one spent Russian cartridge was found on the sight at 07:55 Hrs.

Delta Co. Combat Patrol observed three VC dressed in black pj's about 600 meters away. They were approaching the Company Patrol
Ambush sight. Four of the VC was armed; they were approximately 450 meters away when they were warned by some villagers, upon
being alarmed the VC took cover and changed direction. The Ambush Patrol fired 50 rounds of small arms and two LAW rounds. Searched
area with negative findings at 09:30 Hrs.
