While rummaging through some of my father's old memorabilia
yesterday, I came across a NAVMED 210 Emergency Medical Tag Booklet, and found a few names which
might be familiar to some of you. Sergeant Albert Louis Thompson, USMC, DOB: 7-27-28, was treated by
HM3 T.J. Fressie, for "Laceration (shrapnel) RT Thumb," on 11-20-51, while a member of George 3/7. Another
patient treated by Fressie was Private John D. Taylor, USMC, DOB: 10-20-33, who, on 05 Feb '51 was
administered morphine for gunshot wounds to left forearm. Also mentioned are PFC Robert L. Creamer, CPL
William R. Christensen, HN Philip Marzolf, PFC Edward L. Murphy, SGT M.C. Barnes, SGT M.J. Williams, SGT
T.J. Siva, and HM3 Doyle Powell, all members of G 3/7, treated between 2-51 and 5-52 near Easy Med. Co.
And to the gentleman who contacted me recently regarding wound verification, I'm sorry that I have forgotten
your name: I hope that yours' is perhaps one of those listed above. And if not, please reestablish contact with
me, and I will seek information through the VA. If you were treated for severe head trauma by my father, I hope
the following will help. A member of G 3/7, his name was HM2 Lowell F. "Lou" Leibold. Leibold was a member
of G 3/7 between 2-51 and 3-52, and a WWII 're-tread.' Finally, a very special thanks to the giant men of
Dog: this is an excellent webpage, and I deeply appreciate the opportunity to visit. Idio-ship-sho. |
