I was with H&S Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, originally stationed at Camp Las Pulgas, Camp Pendleton and, as far as I can remember, was shipped to Okinawa aboard the "George Clymer." The ships name took me some time to find out on the web but by comparing various data, it sorta had to be the one. We were in Operation Starlight at Chu Lai. I carried a PRC-25 and then went to Alpha Co. and Then Delta Company to work with their CO's. I have a bunch of photos I am scanning and will send them to you if you like.
It seems like so very long ago and so very recent. I guess these things never leave. They seem to become serious questions of the heart.
