Dear Marines from Vietnam: I had always wanted to meet this young man that fought so gallantly for our country to preserve freedom and democracy for us all. For past 30 years Ive wanted to tell his parents/family how sorry that I was and how Ive grieved along with them at their sons passing in defense of our land. Well its a long story but Iwas 8 at the time of Teds passing. It just left a bad mark in my life and memory all these years. Finally after getting my 1st pc and getting the courage; last week i began my quest for friends/family of THEODORE H DALTON 1/7 CORPS PFC. DECEASED/1968. Well i got the advice of many former friends and marines to call his parents and let them know how much thought of their son. they just live down the road a mile and a half. What a mistake! The minute I mentioned 30 years ago the phone went click. I feel so bad now. please pray for me that Ted {in heaven} along with his family please forgive me for bringing up the past to them. Im so sorry. I didnt mean any harm to anyone, just a message of love and remembrance, thats all. Tony so sorry.
