Listen to Lava Dog. He's right on the money, as usual.Let me add this: don't think about rank. The Corps is about fhtiging and winning our country's battles. How does a stripe on the uniform and a few extra bucks help that? It doesn't. It isn't about your personal glory or benefits: it's about the Corps and our mission. Instead, think about being the best Marine you can be. You only have three years left to prepare yourself. We need you smart, strong, tough, and mature. Get focused, get hungry, and work your butt off. Join the wrestling team, run track, take AP classes, work summer jobs, etc. Be the kind of kid who grows up to be a Marine: a hard worker who recognizes what really matters.
