I was an E-5 Corpsman with S-2 scouts who had come back from a recon patrol and was back at Dai Loc when the May 19th attack occurred. We obviously were not part of the action, however, we did get a grand stand seat watching "Spooky" pour on the fire in support of you guys. Things were pretty tight that night all around as we knew you all were getting the brunt of the attack, but we weren't sure if a subsequent hit would be made on Dai Loc since it was the BN rear area. If I remember right, May 19th was Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the word that earlier afternoon was there might be some action when the sun goes down.
