Jim,

Your name sounds familiar. Do you remember me? When the 1/6/70 Sapper attack hit I was an E-3 and short-timer with less than 30-days left on my tour. I'd made it that long without getting hit and couldn't believe the little fuckers were trying to get me. Man, was I scared shitless!

I was in A Co. 1/7 (don't reacll what platoon). With alla of the the Platoon Cmdrs. & SSgts in Da Nang for language school, I was assigned the ssgt duty of calling sit-reps from my tent instead of standing lines in a bunker so, I slept in a tent sharing the duty with the two platoon corpsmen. If you or anyone else reads this I'd be happy to exchange email, pictures, & communicate.

I live in Carlsbad, CA (30 mi. N. of San Diego). I look forward to hearing from anyone who wants to communicate.

Semper Fi.

Steve
