Was at Baldy, then Ross. Moved with the BN from Da Nang in 69. Was S-2 NCOIC. Had a hootch behind the chapel at Ross and when the mortars went off, sounded like hell opened up. (Shrapnal against that damn tin roof.) Helped the guys from the motor pool capture that bad guy who lost a hand with his satchel charge. Hellofa night.
Watched bad guys try running through the wire but not too many made it. Helped stop the sapper trying to toss a satchel charge into the command bunker. God bless you guys!
