With all due respect, have you tried the Hotel 2/7 website?

In `66 I was a memebr of Kilo 3/7, and we took their (Hotel 2/7) lines when they were on Operation Harvest Moon, or it may have been Double Eagle, I don't really remember. The scoop came down to us that they were cut-up badly in the Operation, lots of wounded.

In truth, for us lots of wounded may have been ten men wounded, because we were running around with 100 man companies, instead of the 246 we were supposed to have. We were spread pretty thin, but morale was always high, because we knew there was no one in the country that could 'put a beating' on us. We were the best there were. We always went forward, and we never pulled out of a fight.

Tell your Dad, 'Job well done, Marine,' from another 7th Marine. Than, tell him for me, 'Welcome Home!' Those six words meant a lot to us back then, and they were never heard.
