I definitely saw this on soeomne else blog and did post a badge on my facebook. Didn't really think much about it, or read into it too much. Just wanted to help out. I had no idea that they were contacting certain people. Seems very odd. But you are right! Usually a company does something, and THEN they can recognition. How sad for AOL. And this is EXACTLY why I hate my degree in Public Relations and refuse to pursue a career in it, except maybe non-profit. All people really care about is getting their name out there, and not really helping. Unless, of course, it benefits themselves. It's dirty. Thanks for posting.
