Great post about Camp Pendleton's Camp Del Mar beach. I totally agree with you, to me, any beach is about the same. The great thing about Del Mar is it's right here, and the only time I see it crodwed is on special holidays. There's a great little area over by the cottages that has a rock jetty separating it, and the water gets a bit warmer there during the summer months. It helps get the little ones into the water, and the waves don't get high and scary for toddlers.
