327Asthma is a disqualifier. Asthma like syomtpms usually are not. A note from the doctor and/or specialist helps not to mention all your medical records since birth so the MEPS physician can be sure. Sometimes the MEPS send you out for a consult to a specialist (on the Marine Corps dime) to make sure. But if the recruiter isn't jumping on the chance to process you when you have a doctor's note saying your do not have Asthma or another breathing condition then that leads me to believe you are disqualified for some other reason & the recruiter just isn't telling you why. Did you do drugs???, 1 too many parking tickets??? Low ASVAB score??? Only a GED vice a HS Diploma??? There's another reason for his absence.
