$36 billion in loan tgaranuees for new nuclear, and renewables have to pander to keep a few billion in the loan guarantee program. What's the logic of THAT?! How many oil spills from solar or wind?? How many melt downs or radiation leaks from solar or wind?? How many rivers contaminated from solar or wind ash pond spills?? How much ground water contaminated from solar or wind fracking?? Come on, let's get with the program. Soon, solar and wind will be MORE cost effective than coal (when coal pays it's full effective costs,) renewables already beat nuclear. Before long, we will be on par or CHEAPER than natural gas. My hope is we partner' with natural gas and grow the renewable portion of our energy mix to well above 1/3rd of the total mix. It can be done, and should be done.Jeff
