Subject: Golf 2/7 Reunion in 2011
Dear Marines,
Last night your officers conducted a conference call to discuss the site selection for next year's reunion. As you will recall, the selection of the 2011 reunion was left open at our meeting in Pensacola pending results of donations that could put us over the top to install our memorial. Our Treasurer, Tom Finnigan, reported that due to an influx of donations from our members, we now have the funds available to purchase and install the memorial at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico. Based on that information, the Officers voted unanimously to proceed with the reunion in the Quantico area for the purpose of dedicating the memorial.
Dave Kling has been to Quantico and the location of the memorial site has been selected. Dedication of the memorial is slated for Saturday, July 29th. The Site Selection Committee will report later on details of billeting, transportation, etc., but I wanted to get the word out to everyone that July 2011 our reunion will take place in the Northern Virginia/Quantico/D.C., area.
