36 years ago today, my father, Corpsman Gary Young, was killed in a helicopter crash while on a medevac mission called in by 1/7. Several weeks ago, I put out a request for help from the men from Alpha and Bravo Companies in the hopes that I could discover what had happened prior to the crash. I've been overwhelmed by the support given to me and have had my questions about that day answered. I'm so very grateful to all that answered my call for help, and for the brave men that day who were involved. I will never be able to thank you enough for your actions that day. I will never forget.
