I served with the 7th Mar. Div. and am interested in findind a Lt. Melanisia. He was a Plt. Cmdr. during an operation in the Que Son Mtns. during which we lost 2 Marines by the names of Porter and Valle. Because of the terrain and heavy NVA fire we were forced to carry these two KIA's on poles to get them out of the "hot" area. Also a Marine died after being shot in the leg because the LZ was so hot the Medi-Vac couldn't land. The poor guy screamed most of the night. I may not be spelling his name correctly; Lt. Malanisia is as close as I can come. Other Marines I remember were Lewis Cross, Mick Carey, Jim Ladden, Doc Rhinehart and Andy Ciccarone. I appreciate anything one of you may remember.
