Dave: I was in the USAF stationed in Turkey when the USS Pueblo was seized by the N Koreans. We were doing the same thing to the Russians that the Pueblo was doing. We were put on red alert to guard the beaches from possible invasion of the Russians.

Here is where we seem to have something in common. We were sent out on patrol with EMPTY M-1 Carbines. We were told of the impending danger and no one would give us an explination for not allowing us to have ammunition. I am seeing a Phyc. at this time and have applied for PTSD standing with VA. They have, so far, denied my claim; but I will appeal this all the way to Washington. A friend of mine, who is very involved in assisting Vets with PTSD claims, told me that better than 80% of the claims that go to DC as a final appeal ARE approved. I guess they just want to see how badly you want it.

Good luck and let me know if you have any luck getting letters from the Marines.

Jim
