As Memorial Day nears I feel "alone". To think back to Nam (67-68), and to think about
all of the lives lost for what turned out to
be nothing, I feel sadness for all of those
true Americans that were never able to return to "the world". I am thankful that I was able to, but sometimes I feel a very strong sense of survivor guilt. I try not to think about "then", but it always comes back.
Must have been for a reason. Semper Fi Marines.
