I was a lance corporal/radio operator with the command group. i remember that several tanks had hit box mines and those tank crews had to be evacuated. One of our radio operatorsjumped up on one tank and fired the 50n cal machine gun to cover the crew as well as a downed phantam pilot. The tank had taken a rpg round and was disabled.
