iwas with a co the last two days of meade river.myself and two other docs replaced the three that were hit the day before (DEC 7),we were with the 1st plt..we loaded the kia's on to the arvn tracks.i will never forget that day.i slept thru the big firefight that in a ravine.the next am the squad leader told me what had taken place.that was a shock.
lt.heusner is from my home town.we meet on hill 10 and had a beer.never saw him again,but have his e-mail.he lives in san diego.i was with bravo co. from jul 68 to dec 4 68.i'll close for now.
