1950-1964 Reactivated 11 September 1950 at Kobe, Japan and Operating from: Participated in the defense of the Korean Demilitarized Zone, 1965-1997 Deployed during June 1965 to Camp Schwab, Okinawa Operating from: Relocated during October 1970 to Camp Pendlelton, California and Reassigned to the 5th Marine Amphibious Brigade. Reassigned during April 1971 to the 1st Marine Division. Fleet Marine Force. Participated in the Battalion rotation between the 3rd Marine Division on Okinawa and Divisions stationed in the United States during the 1980's and the 1990's Relocated during January 1989 to Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, and Reassigned to the 7th Marine Expeditionary Brigade. Reassigned during January 1990 to the 1st Marine Division Participated in Earthquake relief operations in the Philippines Participated in Operations Desert Shield And Desert Storm, Southwest Asia Element Participated in Operation United Shield, Somalia |
